Mudcraft offers small classes and parties for five to thirty people. We have a small gift shop, too.

We operate by appointment, yet welcome visitors anytime our lights are on.

Date Night, $110 per couple

Do couples who play together stay together? We think so! Socialize with up to seven other couples while learning how to throw a bowl or a cup with your partner on the pottery wheel. We will glaze and fire your pieces, which will be ready within a month. Tickets are for this date only and are nonrefundable.

Paint a Plate in the Park, $25-$35

Enjoy a summer evening of music, community and creativity with us in South Burlington’s parks! We’ll bring some of our handbuilt plates, and invite you to decorate them any way you like using underglaze pencils, bottles and/or brushes. We’ll glaze and fire your work, which will be ready for pick up within a month.

Handbuilding, $385

Join artist Lizzy Hamlin Volz to explore making decorative and functional pieces using slab techniques. Registration includes 15 hours of studio access, 8 pounds of clay, and bisque/glaze firing of work completed within studio production guidelines.

This 15-hour studio workshop is open to both total beginners and experienced potters. We provide guided instruction and independent practice in each class session. Class fees include studio access, with use of tools and materials, including 10 pounds of clay, and bisque/glaze firing of all work completed within our production guidelines/schedule. Registration is nonrefundable and available only for this session. If you sign up then change your mind or can’t make it, give your seat to a friend!

Come play with us! $325+

We love parties! Birthdays, anniversaries, team building, or just a fun outing with friends — any reason will do. We offer handbuilding or wheel throwing experiences, making simple items you envision.

Parties last up to two hours, and can accomodate up to 16 people for handbuilding or wheel throwing (for $65/pp), and up to 32 for a paint-your own experience (at a slightly reduced fee of $50/pp) .

The studio finishes and glazes your work, which you pick up within about a month.

 

Gift cards

Purchase a gift card for a loved one — and use it for a handmade piece in our shop, or a pottery experience with us, in a scheduled event or by appointment for a private party ($300 minimum). Printed versions of cards are available in the studio.
