Our Affiliated Artists
Mudcraft is a creative community brought to life by the talented artists who share their knowledge, skills, and spirit with everyone who walks through our doors.
Our instructors are neighbors, friends, and fellow makers with years of experience and a genuine love for teaching. From wheel throwing and hand-building to carving, glazing, and surface design, we guide participants through every step of the creative process.
Above all, our team is dedicated—to the craft and to the community. We welcome new students, encourage and support returning potters, and spark the inspiration that keeps Mudcraft thriving. We invite you to explore our stories.

Lisa Minetti
OWNER/INSTRUCTOR
Lisa began her journey with clay over 20 years ago, and has loved the way pottery pushes her into new ways of thinking and seeing. She really loves helping others discover the many pathways in which learning happens, and feels honored to witness the “a-ha” moments when participants are able to apply their skills and create what they envision. Her own artistic practice centers on throwing bowls and Korean moon vases. When she’s not in the studio, she’s out enjoying Vermont’s natural beauty and shares photos @lisa_in_vt.

Lizzy Hamlin-Volz
INSTRUCTOR
Lizzy started working with clay over 15 years ago on the wheel at UVM, but now finds most joy in handbuilding. She created hand built bud vases for her wedding! She enjoys making whimsical and functional pieces with lots of texture, and teaches others slab techniques in our handbuilding class. When she’s not in the studio making pottery, she practices needle felting, plays with her dogs — and works as the Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at UVM. See her work @craftsbylizzyinvermont.

Emily Rogers
INSTRUCTOR
Emily began her clay journey with Mudcraft when we first opened in 2021. She really loves coming in to the studio and leaving everything else behind, focusing on the clay and entering a flow state. She loves throwing mini vases and functional ware with contemporary lines and layered glazes. When she is not at Mudcraft, she takes care of her dog Norbert and works at the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation. You can follow her adventures @emilyrogers3.

Sofia Silverglass
INSTRUCTOR
Sofia first began working on the wheel at her summer camp when she was 8 years old, and pottery has been an important part of her life ever since. She loves the feeling of the clay spinning beneath her hands and the creativity and collaboration of shared studio spaces. Sofia enjoys introducing people to clay for the first time, and has taught workshops in both wheel throwing and handbuilding for children and adults. In her own practice, she gravitates toward functional ware such as mugs, bowls, and plates. When not at Mudcraft, Sofia spends most of her time playing outside -- gardening, hiking, canoeing, and teaching preschool.

Lucia Liencres
INSTRUCTOR
Lucia first sat in front of a wheel at 8 years old, and has loved pottery ever since. She is passionate about introducing both kids and adults to ceramics, and enjoys both hand-building and wheel throwing. Lately, Lucia has been creating functional ware like cups and plates, and decorating them with underglaze transfers. When not at Mudcraft, Lucia works at Rock Point School where she has set up a pottery program for her students. Follow her clay journey @claybylooch.

Arrity Deakin
INSTRUCTOR
Arrity’s love for pottery began in college, where she learned her foundational skills in throwing and handbuilding. She enjoys exploring all the aspects of clay — from making stamps, to carving thrown pottery, painting patterns, creating fun handbuilding projects and experimenting with colored clays. When Arrity is not in the studio, she is helping families before, during and after the birth of their children as a doula, at Birth Love Doula: https://birthlovedoula.com, and sharing/selling her own work @pottery_lovevt.
